The German's (Gerald Ciolek) tire blew out when he hit a bump diving the road called a Botz dot. According to overall race leader Levi Leipheimer, Ciolek lost his grip, fell to the right and caused fellow cyclists to fall like dominoes.

Gerald Ciolek選手の前輪がBots Dot（日本ではなぜかキャットアイという）に当たってバースト。そのまま転倒して、あとはドミノ倒し状態。ヨーロッパの道路にはBots Dotがないと聞いたことがあるけど、本当なのかな？　ちなみにアメリカのレースの初心者講習では、このBots Dotに慣れることを叩き込まれる。
